Artificial intelligence Part 4: AI literacy

Artificial intelligence, AI, plays an increasingly important role in companies and organizations in the public sector, but many organizations still hesitate to implement the new technological solutions. Having the necessary knowledge about what AI is, what AI can do, what one should particularly be aware of, and what rules apply is challenging for many. It requires curiosity, determination, but also concrete skills.

This PAS is the fourth in the series designed to help you and your business acquire the skills needed to advance with AI. This specification focuses on the requirements for AI literacy, which originate from Article 4 of the AI Act, AI Act, which came into force on February 2, 20251. Article 4 focuses on both providers and deployers of AI.

This specification is intended for deployers of AI, i.e., organizations that have acquired or use an AI system that they have not developed themselves nor has it been developed for their specific needs. This specification is not directed at providers or developers of AI systems.

This specification is based on guidelines from the European Commission and the Danish Agency for Digital Government for the interpretation of Article 4 (see Annex A for more details). It guides businesses and organizations to get off to a good start but does not ensure full compliance with Article 4. Implementation of

Article 4 must take place internally in each organization.
