The group exercise during the workshop: sustainable mobility for sustainable communities
Mobility has a huge impact, both on people’s everyday life and our planet. Issues such as accessibility for all, improved safety, reduced climate and environmental impact, increased efficiency and secure supply are all central for further sustainable development of our communities. IEC International Standards are an important tool developed by consensus among technical experts worldwide on how to design, build and manufacture devices, systems and processes. The goal is to secure overall quality, efficiency and safety for affordable and competitive products and infrastructure in the electrotechnical sector.
Together with the UN sustainable development goals this will create the outline of the 2022 Nordic Young Professional Workshop. No background or experience with sustainable transportation is needed - standardization and how standards can be a helpful tool for sustainable development will be the focus. Participants should have interest in learning about standards and standardization. Basic knowledge on standards might be an advantage, but not required. Preparation material will be provided.
