Join Danish Standards, Bureau Veritas, and UNDP's webinar to explore ISO/UNDP PAS 53002:2024, the world’s first ISO guideline designed to help businesses accelerate their contributions to the SDGs. Developed by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and ISO, the International Organization for Standardization, with Denmark playing a leading role, this guideline provides a blueprint for embedding the SDGs into the core of corporate strategy.

1.00 pm – 1.10 pm: Welcome by DS and UNDP

• Anne Holm Sjøberg, Head of Department, Danish Standards kicks off the webinar by explaining why Danish Standards leads this initiative.
• Sebnem Sener, Head / Private Finance for the SDGs, Sustainable Finance Hub, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) joins to set the global stage by underlining the urgency of the SDGs and why the time to act is now. 

1.10 pm – 1.20 pm: Sustainability as a Business Case by Bureau Veritas and UNDP 

• Sara Lisa Orstavik, Private Finance and Impact Advisor, UNDP, explains what sustainability really means in this context, and how the ISO/UNDP guidelines can help companies align with and take action on the SDGs – turning SDG alignment into impact.
• Jacob Færgemand, OG Market Leader Food and Public Affairs – S&W, Bureau Veritas, shares insights from working with Nordic companies, discussing how SDG work can be a real business case – and why Scandinavia is uniquely positioned to lead and push the sustainability agenda forward. 

1.20 pm – 1.40 pm: ISO/UNDP 53002 by DS

• Danish Standards presents the ISO/UNDP 53002 guideline: its purpose, structure, and the three key areas of focus – the value chain (context), SDG impacts, and affected stakeholders. Learn how your company can get started and benefit from this practical tool. 

1.40 pm – 2.00 pm: Case: PMC Hydraulics – Working with the Guidelines

• Urban Fagrell, Chief QHSE Director and Roger Ekberg, HSE Specialist, from PMC Hydraulics, share their honest and practical experiences using ISO/UNDP 53002. Why did they choose to work with the guideline? What value have they gained? Get insights into stakeholder engagement, impact assessments, and the mindset shift it has brought to this global expert in hydraulic solutions. 

2.00 pm – 2.10 pm: 'Certification or not?' by Bureau Veritas

• Jacob Færgemand, OG Market Leader Food and Public Affairs – S&W, Bureau Veritas explains the upcoming certifiable management system standard ISO/UNDP 53001. Learn how it can help organizations ensure credibility, transparency and avoid SDG-washing – even though certification is not yet necessary for every organisation.

2.10 pm – 2.25 pm: Questions from the chat

• To wrap up the webinar, we’ll open the floor for a live Q&A session with the speakers, who will respond to questions from the chat.
